Edgewater is a sprawling area that stays true to it’s name, founded on the shores of Lake Michigan. Edgewater is only a quick 10 minute drive to downtown Chicago via Lake Shore Drive. Edgewater is composed of many lovely neighborhoods, including Andersonville. Recently the neighborhoods have gone through several rounds of new construction along the lakefront and on major streets, leaving mixed housing with high-rises, condominiums, mid-rise multi-units and single-family homes
