Lincoln Square is located on the North Side of the city and is one of Chicago's well defined neighborhoods.  The Lincoln Square neighborhood remains a family friendly and suburban paced due to it's residential lifestyle.  A portion of the neighborhood has been designated as a historic preservation district and will be maintained in it's entirety.  You get small town living with all the perks of big city convinience.  

Lincoln Square is a trendy neighborhood with lots of private residences and apartment buildings.  The neighborhood is easily accessible via CTA's Brown Line as well as multiple CTA bus routes going through it's neighborhoods. Lincoln Square encompasses many smaller neighborhoods, the most notable one being Ravenswood.  Historically there is a large German influence, but now you are just as likely to see shops catering to Thai or Middle Eastern cultures.
