This is one of the city's fastest growing neighborhoods as the Loop are becomes saturated, people are taking advantage of the prime real estate.  The South Loop is home to Chicago Bear's Soldier Field and Chicago's Museum Campus.  This great neighborhood has been steadily increasing due to it proximity to the loop as well as the lakefront and Grant Park.  Columbia College also sits in the South Loop with over 17 buildings in it's campus.

There is new construction going on in the South Loop almost everywhere you turn, with loft conversions and new luxury buildings going up overlooking Grant Park and Millennium Park.  The South Loop has a long history as an area with warehouses and parking lots and has remained largely industrial until just a few decades ago.  The areas that have undergone the largest transformation are between Roosevelt Road and Cermak Road.  This area has vastly become well known for luxury condo's as well as townhomes, rowhomes, and single family homes.
