The Uptown neighborhood over the past few years has made a major upswing in not only reputation but soaring property values.  The neighborhood has been going through a upswing in construction, beautification and development to help improve the area's that border Lakeview.  Uptown has many national chains that are opening new stores in the area, and is poised to regain its status within Chicago.  Uptown starts where Lakeview ends at the edge of Irving Park Road and Lake Michigan. 

Uptown is famous for the Aragon Ballroom and the Riveria Theater, as well as the famous resting spot of who's who in Chicago at Graceland Cemetery.  Uptown is split up into smaller neighborhoods of most note Sheridan Park and Buena Park.  Buena Park borders Graceland Cemetery and is a very suburban neighborhood in contrast to the skyscrapers of surrounding neighborhoods.
